As part of the Club’s continued focus on growing its fan base and commercial revenue, Adelaide Lightning is strengthening its ticketing and membership capability, with a focus on increasing ticket sales, membership growth, and retention.
EMPLOYMENT STRUCTURE
Seasonal Role (July 2026 - February 2027)

POSITION PURPOSE
The Ticketing & Membership Manager is responsible for driving ticketing and membership revenue for Adelaide Lightning home games and seasons while delivering a high-quality experience for members and fans.
This role leads both the commercial performance and operational delivery of ticketing and membership, including managing the Club’s relationship with ticketing provider, overseeing ticket builds and on-sales, and supporting game-day ticket operations.
The position is a frontline, execution-focused commercial role, responsible for generating ticket sales, managing member relationships, coordinating ticketing systems and processes, and ensuring the successful delivery of ticketing and membership initiatives across the WNBL season.
Working closely with the CEO and Partnerships Marketing Manager, who lead the Club’s broader commercial strategy, this role focuses on converting opportunities into revenue, strengthening member relationships, and delivering an outstanding fan experience.
KEY RESULTS AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ticketing and Membership Sales
- Drive outbound sales activity to secure new ticket buyers and members
- Sell season memberships, multi-game packages, group tickets, and premium ticketing products
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across the season
- Meet and exceed agreed ticketing and membership revenue targets
- Identify opportunities to upgrade casual attendees into members or higher-value ticketing products
Ticketing Operations and Systems
- Manage the Club’s relationship with ticketing provider
- Coordinate event builds, ticket inventory, pricing structures, and on-sale timelines within the Ticketek system
- Ensure accurate setup of ticket categories, pricing tiers, promotions, and membership allocations
- Monitor ticket sales performance and inventory levels across all games and packages
- Work with Ticketek to optimise the fan purchasing experience and resolve ticketing issues when required
- Generate ticketing reports and insights to track performance and inform sales strategies
- Ensure accurate integration of ticketing data with the Club’s CRM system
Membership & Customer Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for members and key ticketing customers
- Build strong relationships to drive renewals and repeat attendance
- Proactively manage membership renewals and retention initiatives
- Handle member and customer enquiries, service issues, and special requests professionally and efficiently
- Maintain accurate customer records and engagement notes in the Club’s CRM system
Game Day Delivery and Experience
- Coordinate ticketing and membership entitlements in collaboration with operations and game-day staff
- Work with ticketing vendor and venue staff to ensure smooth game-day ticketing operations
- Support members, guests, and key ticketing customers on game days as required
- Capture feedback from fans and members to inform improvements to the game-day experience
Reporting and Sales Administration
- Maintain accurate sales reporting, pipeline tracking, and renewal forecasts
- Provide regular updates to the CEO on sales activity, revenue performance, and upcoming opportunities
- Monitor ticketing sales trends and identify opportunities to optimise pricing, promotions and packages
- Support improvements in ticketing systems, CRM usage, and customer data quality
Collaboration and Club Support
- Work closely with marketing to support ticketing and membership campaigns, digital promotions and lead generation
- Assist with broader fan engagement and commercial initiatives as required
- Represent the Club professionally with members, partners, and the wider community
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in ticketing, membership sales, business development, or event sales, ideally within sport, events, hospitality, or entertainment
- Experience working with ticketing platforms such as Ticketek, Ticketmaster, or similar systems is highly desirable
- Proven ability to generate leads, conduct outbound sales, and close deals
- Strong customer service mindset with experience managing member or customer relationships
- Commercially driven with accountability for revenue outcomes
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Experience using CRM systems and ticketing platforms to manage customer data and sales pipelines
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-based environment
