Barefoot Sport is one of the fastest-growing event technology and services companies in Australia and New Zealand. We power the registration, timing and marketing behind hundreds of endurance and mass-participation events every year, from trail runs and triathlons to the booming world of hybrid fitness.

The role

We’re looking for a Customer Service & Operations Lead. A genuinely varied role that brings three connected functions under one owner: customer support, logistics & equipment, Results management. You’ll be the person our clients and team rely on to keep events running smoothly, and you’ll build the operational engine that lets us scale.

What you’ll do

Customer service & support

Be the go-to for support across registration and timing, owning the support queue and our response standards, looking after our major clients so they always feel supported, and leading a small support team. There will be early morning weekend work required during events, easing as the business grows and additional staff are recruited.

Logistics & equipment

Own all our timing and RFID gear, packed, charged, tested and event-ready, every time. You’ll manage inventory, shipping and lifecycle, forecast equipment needs as we grow, and keep our logistics running smoothly across every event.

Results & workforce management

Oversee on-the-day results, from live processing through to final publishing. You'll also build, train and manage the crews who deliver our events on the ground - recruiting reliable staff, training them on our systems and service standards, rostering them across events, and being their go-to before and during event day.

About you

  • Organised, detail-oriented and reliable - you take ownership and follow things through.
  • A warm, clear communicator who genuinely enjoys helping people and clients.
  • A natural coordinator - you like leading, training and supporting a team.
  • Comfortable with systems and tech (monday.com a plus), or quick to pick them up.
  • Calm and organised
  • Excited to provide exceptional service by working out of hours (regular weekend work and early morning starts)
  • Experience in events, operations, logistics or customer service is a big plus.
  • Keen to grow with a scaling business and make the role your own.

This is a remote role open to candidates based in an Australian capital city, with a preference for Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne.
