Rugby in Australia is embarking upon its most exciting era ever with the home Rugby World Cups in 2027 and 2029, and the home Olympics in Brisbane in 2032.
The Waratahs are seeking expressions of interest for the position of Waratahs Head Coach.
The role is critical in in the Waratahs pursuit to achieve its strong ambition of being a consistently winning and impactful rugby program.
One of the most prestigious roles in Australian sport, the key purpose of the Head Coach position is to:
- Lead the implementation of the Waratahs identity on and off the field that leaves an enduring legacy for the game in NSW and Australia.
- Lead and be accountable for the Waratahs team program, including the daily performance environment and coaching culture, that will lead to success.
- Ensure the Waratahs Men’s program is aligned internally with our player development pathways, and externally with the Wallabies high-performance objectives and coaching plans.
- Be the direct report for the Waratahs Director of High-Performance in delivering a world class and sustainable winning Waratahs team that significantly enhances the game of rugby in Australia.
The Head Coach position will also contribute to the growth and success of the game via quality stakeholder and community engagements and involvement in the Waratahs strategy development and implementation as required.
