Reporting directly to the Head of Sky Blue Pathways at Sydney FC, you will plan and deliver engaging football sessions at primary and secondary schools while ensuring the overall quality of program delivery to enhance Sydney FC’s brand reputation, customer experience, and program objectives. You will also oversee the operations of the Sydney FC Sport and Business Course, as well as the Online Diploma Course, ensuring both programs are delivered to a high standard and aligned with the club’s education strategy.

You will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing a network of coaches to maintain high standards across all programs. Building and maintaining strong relationships with schools, coaches, and external stakeholders will be key to expanding the program’s reach. Additionally, you will work proactively to implement new initiatives that align with Sydney FC’s Sky Blue Pathways Strategy, driving growth and innovation in the education and events space.

The ideal candidate should have experience planning and delivering quality football programs, be capable of juggling a range of initiatives at the same time, and be flexible with working hours, dates, and locations while adapting quickly in a high-paced environment. To be considered for this role, you will have the ability to be an outstanding communicator, forecaster, and planner. You will have the capacity to operate proactively, often without instruction, to deliver education and event operations successfully. You must also be capable of coaching at a community level and running events.

The ideal candidate will also possess excellent computer literacy, strong planning skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping Sydney FC’s education programs and initiatives, inspiring the next generation of fans.

Key Responsibilities:

Education:

  • Manage administrative tasks related to education program operations, scheduling, communication, and reporting.
  • Be the first point of contact for schools, including managing emails, calls, and enquiries.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, coaches, and community stakeholders.
  • Recruit, plan and deliver Pre-school and After School Care programs, driving towards yearly targets.
  • Recruit, plan and deliver OOSH Care programs, driving towards yearly targets.
  • Recruit, plan and deliver Co-Curricular programs, driving towards yearly targets.
  • Recruit, plan and deliver Vacation Care programs, driving towards yearly targets.
  • Recruit, plan and deliver Sky Blues in Schools programs, driving towards yearly targets.
  • Work with the Development Officers across Sydney FC’s footprint to build the school database, identify program promotion opportunities, and run recruitment days for future programs.
  • Based on market research, create new educational initiatives aligned with identified opportunities.
  • Schedule and arrange new and existing school initiatives, including Schools Blitz and educational programs.
  • Provide ongoing management of all school programs to ensure high delivery standards and maximise opportunities for renewal.
  • Manage all operational tasks for Sydney FC’s Sports and Business Diploma powered by SEDA.
  • Facilitate all educational Sky Park tours.
  • Work internally to ensure equipment is returned and stock takes are completed after each term.
  • Execute a broad range of tasks as directed by the Head of Sky Blue Pathways.

Sky Blue Pathways:

  • Lead the supervision at holiday clinics, as directed by the Head of Sky Blue Pathways.
  • Support the Development Officers where required. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • School Holiday program preparation
  • Program supervision support
  • Coach in the Programs where directed. This could include in-school programs or after school programs.
  • Assist with ALM and ALW home matchdays and other club events.

Essential Requirements

  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • Experience in similar position
