About the Centre
RecWest Braybrook is a vibrant community recreation centre in Melbourne’s west, providing a welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities to be active, connect, and participate in sport and community programs.
Our centre features a multi-court stadium and hosts a wide range of activities including social and competitive basketball, netball, futsal, pickleball, school sports, community events, and casual court hire. We also run inclusive programs, junior development activities, and community initiatives that encourage participation in sport and active recreation.
About the role
As our fitness instructor, you will be responsible for leading a variety of group fitness classes and coaching a wide range of clients. You must have exceptional communication skills to effectively inform and demonstrate the benefits of participating in our classes. You must also be organised to ensure that our classes run smoothly and efficiently.

This is a casual position, with an hourly rate of $56.56 + super.
About you
As our Group Fitness Instructor you will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for health and fitness. You will possess exceptional communication skills and can effectively motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals. You will have a deep understanding of various training styles and methods, and can cater to the needs of a wide range of clients during our classes.
Our ideal candidate is also highly organised, able to manage their time effectively, and can ensure the smooth running of our classes.
Above all, you will be a team player who can bring your own positive energy and enthusiasm to our team!
You will need experience in taking group fitness classes to be successful in this role.
Essential Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Fitness or approved equivalent
- Maintain current AUSactive registration
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
