How You’ll Make An Impact
The Aquatic Program Coordinator plays a key role in delivering high-quality Learn to Swim (LTS) and school swimming programs. Working closely with the Learn to Swim (LTS) Program and Customer Service Manager, this position ensures the successful implementation of programs, supports the training and development of aquatic staff, and upholds exceptional service standards.
About The Role
The Aquatic Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the delivery of commercial Learn to Swim (LTS) and School Swimming programs; while supporting the coaching and professional development of all LTS staff. This role ensures all programs consistently uphold the high standards and expectations of Knox Grammar School. The Aquatic Program Coordinator will have responsibility to:
- Coordinate the growth, implementation administration, and delivery of the commercial Learn to Swim and School Swimming programs in alignment with Knox Grammar School standards.
- Ensure all programs consistently meet safety, quality, and customer/student experience expectations.
- Monitor class structures, swimmer progression, and scheduling to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with the LTS Program and Customer Service Manager to deliver Aquatic Centre services in accordance with the approved operational plan.
- Collaborate with the LTS Program and Customer Service Manager and Head Coach - Junior Program to identify swimmers demonstrating potential for progression.
- Support the transition of talented swimmers into the Junior Program by providing accurate assessments and recommendations to the Head Coach - Junior Program.
- Oversee daily program activities to ensure timely execution and high-quality delivery.
About You
- Experience working in an aquatic environment
- Experience in school swimming programs including delivery of training
- Experience managing teams preferably within a LTS or swim school environment
- Strong administrative, leadership and organisational skills.
- Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification or equivalent
- Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics or equivalent
- Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Towards competitive Strokes or equivalent
- Competitive strokes Certification (Desirable)
- Austswim Assessor and Lifeguard qualification (Desirable)
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
