Position Overview
The Head Coach will drive the overall success of all Picklr Academy and coaching programs at the Picklr Cronulla. This individual will bring proven pickleball coaching skill, as well as a thorough knowledge of the pickleball landscape. The Head Coach will collaborate with the Club Manager to create and manage the Picklr Cronulla programming schedule, as well as oversee all Picklr coaches to ensure Picklr Academy and coaching programs are consistently delivered at the highest quality.
Overall Responsibilities
Oversee all Picklr Academy and coaching programs and schedules
Co-manage the club programming schedule
Assist the Club Manager in managing all casual coaching staff - hiring, training, scheduling
Teach 101 Pickleball, Skills and Drills, P-Series P1-P4, as well as conduct private & group coaching sessions
Understand all software involved with Picklr Academy and programming (Playbypoint, Wingfield, SWISH)
Help run tournaments and large events
Provided excellent customer service
Communicate with members, ambassadors, club management team and club staff
Attend all assigned meetings and trainings
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a pickleball coach, with proven ability to conduct clinics across all skill levels
Proven competitive play experience
Strong knowledge of pickleball community and game play
Ability to effectively and clearly explain Picklr Academy and coaching offerings at The Picklr
Ability to effectively and clearly explain memberships and program offerings at The Picklr
Ability to communicate effectively with Picklr members, team members, club management and corporate staff
Ability to organize and create program calendars and schedules
Passion for helping others succeed
Ability to train and motivate all coaching staff
Proficient with basic computer software (Word, Sheets, Excel, etc.)
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
