Maribyrnong College provides a broad education for students in Years 7-12. It is also home to Victoria's only state-funded Sports Specialism with a sports enrolment comprising nearly 40% of the school population.
This position is full time, 5 days per week.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform Reception duties, including answering and directing phone calls, screening and welcoming visitors, responding to internal and external front office enquiries, managing deliveries, and providing clerical and administrative support as required.
- Maintain, enter, and retrieve data using the College computer systems, including Compass and CASES21.
- Manage the College's local payroll processes, including the collation of timesheets and data entry into the Department of Education's central payroll system (eduPay).
- Coordinate equipment and supply orders specific to the Sports Academy.
- Undertake general clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, collating, and archiving documentation as required.
- Oversee MSA uniform stock levels and supplies, including stock control and liaison with parents/carers, staff and suppliers.
- Provide administrative support to the Administration Coordinator, Facility Manager and Talent Administrator as required.
- Maintain and update the MSA Trophy Register.
- Manage the MSA Reception and other areas, to ensure effective and efficient administrative procedures are in place.
- In consultation with MSA Management, determine and manage work priorities within the MSA Reception.
SELECTION CRITERIA
KSC1 Capacity to undertake routine tasks across a range of functions in one or more work areas within a school environment.
KSC2 Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including parents and students, and the capacity to provide support and/or care to students where necessary.
KSC3 Demonstrated experience within the sporting community and knowledge of the sporting world.
KSC4 Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), with experience using office management systems, databases, and digital filing systems, and the ability to quickly learn new administrative software.
KSC5 Capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, and education support staff.
