Are you passionate about sport, events, and storytelling? Join SwimmingSA and play a key role in delivering high-quality competitions while bringing our sport to life through engaging communications and member services.

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Events & Communications Coordinator to help deliver our events calendar and drive communication across our growing swimming community.

About the Role

This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll coordinate events from planning through to delivery, while also managing communications across digital platforms—showcasing athletes, clubs, key initiatives and supporting our network of clubs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver SwimmingSA events, including championships and open water competitions
  • Manage event logistics, stakeholder communication, and on-the-day operations
  • Create engaging content for social media, website, newsletters, and media releases
  • Maintain and grow SwimmingSA’s digital presence
  • Support clubs and members, including assistance with Swim Central
  • Contribute to membership growth, engagement, and reporting

About You

  • Experience in event coordination and/or communications (sporting environment highly regarded)
  • Strong writing and content creation skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident working with stakeholders and community groups
  • Passion for sport and community engagement
  • Flexible and available to work evenings/weekends during events

Requirements

  • Current driver’s licence
  • Working With Children Check
  • (Desirable) First Aid & CPR, CRM/Swim Central experience, sport industry knowledge

Essential Requirements

  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
