We are looking for a Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our performance and rehab team.
This is a high-impact role working closely with the Director of Rehab and performance staff, where you will be trusted with real responsibility and not micromanaged.
You will play a key role in developing athletes across the full spectrum, from injury rehab through to high performance, within an integrated S&C and physiotherapy model.
This role suits a coach who thrives in a structured, high-performance environment, enjoys working with athletes, and wants to keep improving their coaching.
What You Will Be Doing
- Delivering high-quality S&C sessions across individual and small group settings
- Coaching athletes through our Athlete Development and Rehabilitation Continuum, both in the gym and on field
- Designing and progressing individualised programs for up to 25 athletes
- Leading return to run, sprint, change of direction, and field-based progressions
- Conducting and interpreting performance testing such as force plates, NordBord, and jump testing
- Working closely with physiotherapists to ensure smooth rehab to performance transitions
- Contributing to program design systems across the business
- Supporting affiliate sporting clubs with S&C delivery
Who This Role Is For
You will be a strong fit if you:
- Have solid experience coaching athletes in S&C or performance environments
- Can build strong relationships with athletes quickly
- Apply strength and conditioning principles with confidence
- Have worked with emerging or elite athletes
- Enjoy being part of a driven, motivated team
- Are comfortable using performance technology such as VALD systems, force plates, and NordBord
- Communicate clearly, lead sessions confidently, and bring good energy to the floor
- Are organised and take ownership of your athletes
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in a strength and conditioning or performance role
- Relevant qualification in Exercise Science, Sport Science, or similar
- ASCA Level 1 or, ideally, working towards Level 2
Desirable
- ASCA Level 2 or working towards
- Experience in a private performance or athlete-focused environment
- Experience integrating S&C within rehab settings
What We Offer
- Weekly in-house professional development with internal and external presenters
- Annual professional development allowance up to $1200
- Full access to Sports MAP and SportSmith resources
- Clear pathway to full-time employment for the right candidate
- Access to high-level facilities and performance technology
- A culture that values coaching quality, athlete outcomes, and growth
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a standard gym role.
You will coach athletes, not just supervise sessions.
You will test, analyse, and make decisions.
You will be expected to solve problems and drive outcomes.
You will have autonomy, support, and room to grow within a proven and expanding performance model.
If you are someone who is always looking to improve and take your coaching to the next level, this environment will help get you there.
