About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking an experienced, passionate, and inspiring Rugby League Coach to join our dynamic coaching team as Head Coach. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to shape and grow a developing Rugby League program, fostering athlete development both on and off the field.

The successful candidate will bring strong Rugby League coaching expertise, proven leadership experience, and a genuine commitment to athlete development, teamwork, and wellbeing. Previous coaching experience - ideally at a representative level - will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Rugby League program, with a strong focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive training programs aligned with program goals
  • Develop inclusive and engaging training sessions that cater to players of varying abilities and experience levels
  • Collaborate effectively with coaching staff, the Rugby League Coordinator, and key stakeholders to strengthen the overall program
  • Communicate clearly, positively, and professionally with players, parents, colleagues, and the wider community
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture that supports athlete growth and wellbeing
  • Promote and uphold the values, standards, and expectations of the school or organisation 

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated experience coaching Rugby League, preferably at a representative or elite pathway level
  • Strong knowledge of Rugby League techniques, strategies, and contemporary coaching practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to plan, evaluate, and adapt training programs
  • A genuine commitment to developing young athletes both athletically and personally
