The Opportunity:
Based in our IRONMAN Sydney office, on a temporary basis ending late December.
This role will be responsible for supporting the APAC teams by performing business intelligence work, collecting, coordinating and analysing event data to support business development, undertaking desk research, and identifying key data-driven insights to better inform business development (new event development) & commercial partnership proposals.
A strong affinity with numbers and data is useful to the role as the Business Intelligence Coordinator will be supporting the business with strategic analysis on an ad-hoc basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deliver clear, accurate sales and financial reports using Excel and Tableau, with a focus on automation.
- Provide timely commercial insights to partners and regional stakeholders using internal and external data.
- Act as the local lead for the IRONMAN Global CRM (Dynamics 365 & KORE™), working with global teams to ensure consistent reporting.
- Create clear, data-driven sales proposals to support partner growth, retention and new opportunities.
- Provide event, athlete, brand, marketing and industry data to support sales strategy and decision-making.
- Support the executive team with reporting and insights for future planning.
- Assist with partnership pricing, inventory and rate card development.
- Build strong internal relationships and support teams by coaching on reporting tools and processes.
- Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reporting quality.
- Maintain accurate economic reporting through effective data management and analysis.
What You Bring to the Team
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just tick boxes, but thrives in our fast-paced, global environment. Ideally, you have
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Market Research, Insights, or related role.
- Experience in research project management, survey design, insight generation, and basic research principles is essential.
- Exceptional analysis, communication, project management, and planning skills
- Confidence in making decisions autonomously to rationalise and justify recommendations.
- Business acumen: strong commercial focus and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding & experience of maintaining a CRM system is desirabl
- Valid Working With Children Check
- Willingness to travel within Australia and work weekends during event delivery
