About the Role
This permanent part-time position oversees the end-to-end delivery of WNA’s competitions, programs and key activities.
You will lead operational staff and volunteers, manage competitions, support coaches, work with clubs and stakeholders, and ensure our competitions run smoothly every week.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven, organised leader with netball administrative experience (preferred) who thrives in a dynamic community environment.
Key Responsibilities
As the Netball Operations Manager, you will:
Competition & Program Delivery
- Oversee all aspects of WNA competitions - registrations, grading, fixtures, results and finals.
- Liaise with clubs, coaches, officials and members to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery.
- Prepare annual competition calendars and manage court allocations.
- Ensure accurate information and data entry through Netball Connect.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and support the Umpire Coordinator, administration team and Mission Control team.
- Facilitate training and support for staff and volunteers.
- Drive accountability and performance aligned to program targets.
Strategic & Operational Management
- Deliver on the Association’s strategic goals and operational plans.
- Provide weekly updates and monthly operational reports to the Board.
- Recommend improvements to competitions, processes and policies.
- Ensure programs operate within approved budgets.
Representative, Umpiring & Program Support
- Assist with Representative Program administration, trials and events.
- Support the WNA Umpiring Program and NetSetGo operations.
- Coordinate key WNA events across the annual calendar.
Stakeholder & Member Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clubs, Netball Victoria, Whitehorse Council and community partners.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with the WNA community.

About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in community sport administration, ideally within a netball or sporting association.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage staff performance and coordinate volunteers.
- Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of competition operations, by-laws and member-based environments.
- A passion for community sport and creating safe, inclusive environments.
First Aid certification, a Working With Children Check, and a Police Check are required.
Position Details
- Part-time: 25-30 hours per week
- Salary: Negotiable with the successful applicant (pro-rata based on hours worked).
