We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our our team and club.
Reporting into the Head of Digital, the Graphic Designer will work alongside the Senior Graphic Designer and play an integral role to the establishment, development and innovation of the Wests Tigers’ brand, visual identity and creative presence.
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes:
Produce brand collateral and campaigns across all areas of the Wests Tigers club, including but not limited to:
- Marketing and advertising campaign across both print and digital outputs
- Event and game day signage across game day venues and activations
- Digital design involving outputs for social media, website and email platforms, adhering to brand consistency and alignment whilst identifying areas for creative innovation
Be flexible and reactive with design material in relation to team and club announcements as they occur, sometimes with limited turnaround and lead-in time.
Identify and execute design trends and ideas with a degree of relevancy and high-quality execution standards.
Production & Workflow Management:
- Complete briefs assigned through project management tool and otherwise, communicating with internal department stakeholders at appropriate moments during the design timeline, including ideation, feedback, deadlines and dispatch phases.
- Ability to deliver collateral across overlapping timelines, particularly during peak periods such as in-season.
- Active management of internal stakeholder expectations when competing priorities arise.
Digital Design:
- Demonstrated proficiency in social media design, with a high level of regard to best practices across an evergreen space.
- Ideate and execute marketing-based design collateral with an understanding of traditional and non-traditional sales strategies to be used across email, organic and paid spend.
Print & Commercial Design:
- Strong understanding of traditional forms of graphic design, such as signage, stationary, templates, event printing.
- Attention to best-practice for graphic design, including, but not limited to, safe-zones, typography hierarchy, layouts, legibility, etc.
Working Environments:
The nature of this role is ever-fluctuating, with a high demand during peak periods during the season. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required to support delivery windows, as well as coverage during game days.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 year’s experience in graphic design in sport or other field.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe AfterEffects is highly regarded, but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of key design fundamentals, including layout, hierarchy, typography, weighting and colour.
- Attention to detail, even with tight deadlines.

- Creatively curious with the initiative and autonomy to explore new and innovative ideas to be applied across all areas.
- Previous experience in a sports club, league, or equivalent is highly regarded, but not essential.
