The Brisbane Lions are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Development Manager to join our Commercial team and play a key role in growing the Club’s commercial revenue portfolio.

Reporting to the General Manager – Customer & Commercial, this role is responsible for the acquisition of new commercial revenue streams including sponsorships, signage and digital media sales. It will also lead and manage the delivery of Lions Connect our business networking and B2B program.

This is a high-impact role suitable for someone who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities and closing deals to create meaningful commercial outcomes for the Club and our partners.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop and implement sponsorship and media sales acquisition strategies aligned to the Club’s objectives and revenue targets
• Establish, manage and deliver the Lions Connect business network and broader B2B strategies
• Deliver Lions Connect functions and events, managing end-to-end logistics and budgets
• Identify and prospect new business opportunities across priority categories
• Build, present and negotiate commercial proposals to deliver strong ROI
• Collaborate with our Partnerships team to drive incremental revenue opportunities and support renewals

What We’re Looking For:

• Extensive experience in sales, business development and/or account management
• Proven success in closing commercial deals with high-level negotiation and persuasive skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including proposal development and presentations
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Events or Sport Management desirable but not essential
• Previous experience within the sporting and/or AFL industries highly regarded
• Strong computer literacy skills with experience using Microsoft Office, CRM systems or Photoshop programs highly regarded
• Excellent personal presentation and professionalism
• Ability to work flexible hours in line with operational requirements e.g. match days
• Demonstrated experience operating in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
