  • Support education, development and pathway alignment with Basketball Australia
  • Foster mentorship and peer learning opportunities
  • Strengthen communication across all levels of officiating
  • Drive recruitment, retention and recognition initiatives
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, inclusion and respect

You will also play an important role in stakeholder engagement, risk management, WHS compliance, and upholding the Basketball Australia National Integrity Framework.

About You

You are an organised and detail-oriented administrator who thrives in a fast-paced sporting environment. You bring:

  • Experience in technical official development or sporting program coordination
  • Strong knowledge of community basketball and officiating frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
  • A collaborative, positive and solutions-focused mindset

You align with our identity anchors:

  • We value participation and achievement
  • We focus on continuous improvement
  • We are inclusive and value difference
  • We are ambitious and adaptable
  • We think and act for the good of the game

Requirements

  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card
  • Senior First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Basketball Referee / Scorebench / Statistician Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)

Relevant experience in community sport or a similar environment will be highly regarded.

Why Join Basketball ACT?

This is your opportunity to shape the future of officiating in one of Australia’s largest basketball associations. You will be part of a passionate team dedicated to growing the game and supporting the people who make it happen.

If you are ready to lead, organise and elevate officiating in the ACT - we would love to hear from you.
