Opportunity for a Full-time Sports Development Officer position for Tennis & Pickleball Canberra. This position will involve approximately 38 hours per week including both on-court and off court activities, Monday to Saturday for Tennis Canberra & Pickleball Canberra.
The successful applicant will:
Develop, implement and oversee tennis and pickleball development programs and participation pathways for all age groups and ability levels.
Actively promote and market tennis and pickleball programs, competitions, and events to drive community engagement and participation.
Provide guidance, coaching support and development pathways to individuals and groups to enhance tennis and pickleball skills.
Plan, organise and coordinate tennis and pickleball events, competitions, coaching clinics and training sessions.
Collaborate with schools, community organisations and sporting clubs to increase tennis and pickleball participation and accessibility.
Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of tennis and pickleball development programs, using participation data and feedback to inform continuous improvement for the organisation.
We are seeking an outgoing Sports Development Officer with national or international experience to provide support to our current coaching team, solidify our longstanding development pathways plus strengthen the link between all racquet sports in a bid to explore opportunities that are beyond the normal scope of current practices.
This position is Canberra-based but the coach must be willing to travel and drive to events and activities hosted by Tennis Canberra & Pickleball Canberra at our other locations in Australia and internationally when required.
