Description

The Events and Facilities Officer is responsible for the management and delivery of Softball NSW State Championships, Softball NSW Leagues, Softball Australia National/International Events (if applicable) and Softball NSW Annual Organisational Events.

The Events and Facilities Officer will be involved from the Club level to the elite level of Softball in NSW.

  • Collaborate with Softball Australia to ensure delivery of National and International events.
  • Coordinate, manage and deliver all Softball NSW Championships, Leagues and tournaments that are within the jurisdiction of Softball NSW.
  • Liaise with Blacktown Venue Management to ensure the Softball facility at Blacktown International Sports Park is being managed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure Softball facility risk minimisation strategies are being monitored and effective at all times.  
  • Coordinate meetings with stakeholders (including Softball Australia) in relation to the Softball NSW Calendar and the scheduling of Softball NSW and National events.
  • Prepare, create, and manage the Softball NSW calendar for each year in respect to all Softball NSW and National events held in NSW.
  • Coordinate and manage the Softball NSW merchandise program in accordance with spending approvals.
  • Arrange and coordinate the Softball NSW State Team Dinner, Softball NSW Awards nights, and the Softball NSW Annual General Meeting.
  • Assist with the preparation and monitoring of tournament and event budgets.
  • General office duties to assist and improve the functionality of Softball NSW. 

The role is an outward facing role as you are the key point of contact with Blacktown Venue Management at Blacktown Council in relation to the day-to-day operational management of the Softball facility at Blacktown International Sports Park where Softball NSW is based.
