About the Role
The National Integrity Manager is responsible for supporting the effective implementation and ongoing operation of the Volleyball Australia National Integrity Framework across all levels of the sport. The role ensures consistent, compliant, and best-practice management of integrity matters, supporting a safe, fair, and inclusive volleyball environment.
Working closely within the Integrity Unit, VA Legal team, and key stakeholders, the role provides advice, education, and practical guidance on integrity matters, manages the administration of complaints, and supports continuous improvement of integrity policies and systems.
Key Responsibilities
The National Integrity Manager is responsible for supporting the ongoing operation of the National Integrity Framework across the sport, including:
- Maintaining the National Integrity Framework and ensuring its consistent application across the sport.
- Ensuring organisational compliance with integrity-related policy requirements, including the National Integrity Framework and the VA Anti-Doping Policy.
- Continuously improving policies, guidelines, and processes that align with and support the National Integrity Framework.
- Building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships, including with Sport Integrity Australia (SIA), Government Agencies and other relevant stakeholders.
Designing and delivering integrity education programs for staff, athletes, volunteers, and other key stakeholders. - Monitoring and overseeing athlete compliance with mandatory integrity education, certifications, and qualifications in line with the VA National Education Framework and Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) requirements, including reviewing the SIA database and ensuring relevant High Performance (HP) management are appropriately informed athletes are compliant.
- Providing support, advice, and practical guidance to State Affiliates on integrity matters, including the administration of alleged breaches of VA rules, regulations, codes, and policies, except where matters are referred to or managed by the VA Legal team.
- Triage integrity matters to determine those managed by the National Integrity Manager and those requiring escalation and legal oversight.
- Managing the administration of integrity matters in a timely, efficient, and proportionate manner, and escalating complex or high-risk issues while seeking specialist advice where appropriate.
- Supporting the development and continuous improvement of VA’s complaints management system, ensuring best-practice standards for confidentiality, data management, and record-keeping.
About You
You will bring sound judgement, professionalism, and a strong commitment to ethical conduct, along with the ability to work independently and manage sensitive matters with discretion.
Essential requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in sport administration, law, governance or a related discipline.
- Eligibility to hold and maintain a valid and unconditional Working with Children Check, with the ability to obtain checks in other states as required.
- Willingness to comply with Volleyball Australia’s policies and procedures, including the National Integrity Framework and Code of Conduct.
Desirable experience:
- Experience within the Australian sport sector, particularly in member protection, child safeguarding, anti-doping, or integrity-related matters.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and record-keeping skills, with the ability to assess complex information and develop practical solutions.
