About the Position:
We are seeking an organised and proactive HR professional to support the delivery of first-class HR services across the organisation. The position will be responsible for the accurate execution of all HR administrative activities in addition to the operational delivery of HR activities across both the employee life-cycle and seasonal business cycle. This position reports to the NSWRL Head of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration & Operations
- Deliver accurate, compliant HR administration across the employee lifecycle.
- Maintain HR systems and records (including HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for employees, contractors and volunteers.
- Prepare HR documentation such as employment contracts, agreements and correspondence.
- Manage HR inbox, audits and routine HR reporting.
- Liaise with payroll on remuneration, entitlements and leave.
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including position descriptions, advertising, interviews and candidate management.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives.
- Promote and support professional development through learning programs.
HR Business Partnering
- Build strong relationships with leaders to support workforce planning and change initiatives.
- Provide advice and support on people-related matters across the employee lifecycle.
- Use HR data and insights to support informed decision-making.
Employee Relations, Performance & Compliance
- Act as a first point of contact for employee relations matters, escalating where required.
- Support managers with performance management, conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure compliance with industrial legislation, organisational policies and governance requirements.
- Support cyclical HR processes including performance reviews, remuneration reviews and reward programs.
Culture, Values & Continuous Improvement
- Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with organisational values.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across HR practices.
- Support health, safety and wellbeing obligations across the organisation.
About You:
The successful candidate will have:
- An undergraduate qualification in Human Resource Management and/or Industrial Relations or other related Business degree.
- Proven experience working in a HR Business Partner or HR Advisor position with a generalist HR remit.
- Demonstrated experience in core HR activities across the employee life-cycle.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, Workers Compensation and Work Health & Safety.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex and confidential employment and HR matters.
- A proven ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse employee and contractor groups.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Game of Rugby League.
Consistent with the nature of the sporting industry, the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends, evenings and reasonable additional hours as is required to fulfil the requirements of this position. Remuneration is set in recognition of this requirement.
