OUR SCHOOL

St Aidan's is a Prep to Year 12 Anglican day school for girls, with a co-educational Kindergarten. Located in Corinda, with a population of just over 1000 students, reflecting our belief that students experience many benefits in a smaller school.

THE ROLE

The Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for students. This role aims to enhance athletic performance, reduce injuries and promote overall physical fitness and wellbeing. The coach will work closely with school staff to support the athletic and personal development of students.

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Design and implement sport-specific strength and conditioning programs tailored to the needs of individual students and teams.
  • Conduct and supervise training sessions, ensuring proper technique and safety.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention strategies, including warm-up and cool-down routines.
  • Work with school staff to integrate strength and conditioning programs into overall training plans.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum Level 1 Australian Strength & Conditioning Association (ASCA) qualification
  • Previous experience in strength and conditioning coaching
  • Strong knowledge of strength and conditioning principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Proficiency in using fitness assessment tools and software (desirable)
  • An ability to hold a Working with Children - Paid Blue Card as issued by the Queensland Government
  • Ability to obtain a First Aid / CPR Certificate.
