Melbourne Girls Grammar is seeking a warm, passionate, and proactive Sports Centre Co-ordinator to join the team. This role is known internally as the Artemis Services Co-ordinator and supports the day-to-day administration and operations of the Artemis Centre, our world-class sports and wellbeing facility. Working collaboratively alongside a second Coordinator, this role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of curriculum, co-curricular, and community-based programs across the school day and beyond.
The Artemis Services Coordinator provides high-quality front-of-house service and administrative coordination, supporting program and event delivery. This includes preparing facilities, coordinating schedules and resources, and providing reliable operational support to Heads of Program and staff, ensuring programs are well organised and facilities are optimally prepared.
As a valued member of the Facility Operations and Services Team, this role works closely with coaching and teaching staff, operational teams, and visitors to create an inclusive, welcoming, and professional environment that reflects the standards and values of Melbourne Girls Grammar School.
About this Role:
- Ongoing, permanent
- Fulltime (1.00FTE), working Monday to Friday 5.30am - 1.30pm during Term Time and 6.30am - 2.30pm Monday - Friday during Non Term Time.
- Position available immediately, or by negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily operations: opening/closing the facilities, setting up zones for bookings, monitoring activity zones;
- Front of house presentation and office management;
- Working closely with the Artemis Centre and Aquatics Manager on daily administrative duties, scheduling, aspects of facility maintenance and new staff/user inductions;
- Provide administration support to Heads of Program and other school departments as required and directed;
- Maintaining strong relationships with MGGS stakeholders, including students, staff, parents, Old Grammarians and external user groups;
- Supporting the design, creation and distribution of exciting, well written content including emails, blogs and newsletters;
- Maintaining a strong and positive culture that supports customer service, efficient operations and effective activity zone units; and
- Use Office365 and dedicated facility management systems to support effective administration, communication, and record keeping.
About You:
- Hold certification or undergraduate degree in Sports Administration / Facility Management / Business Management / Exercise Science or Human Movement.
- Hold unlimited Australian working rights.
- Willing to obtain or hold a current Victoria Working with Children Check - Employee Type.
- Current First Aid HLTAID011 and CPR HLTAID009 qualifications.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Thrive in a fast paced active sport services environment.
