About the Role
The People & Culture Administrator will be responsible for assisting with quality people information and administrative support to our workforce across a range of strategic and operational People & Culture initiatives to create high levels of employee engagement, performance, and wellbeing for Hockey Australia and its shared service entities.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver accurate and timely People & Culture processes including onboarding, learning and development, engagement, performance management, and offboarding.
- Support recruitment activities: draft job ads, manage postings, coordinate interviews, conduct checks, and communicate outcomes.
- Administer internship programs in collaboration with education providers.
- Ensure smooth onboarding through induction checklists, IT setup, and induction programs.
- Maintain accurate employment documentation (contracts, position descriptions, policies, organisational charts).
- Coordinate learning and development events and employee engagement initiatives.
- Prepare employment-related letters and documentation (e.g., remuneration, probation, development plans).
- Manage compliance requirements including WWCC, Police Checks, and Sports Integrity standards.
- Support HRIS administration (Employment Hero) and maintain up-to-date employee records.
- Assist with staff engagement surveys, recognition programs, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Respond to general People & Culture and employment enquiries.

Remuneration
Hockey Australia will offer a $51,000 base salary plus superannuation dependent upon the successful applicant's skills and experience.

- Recent graduate or 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with Employment Hero and Culture Amp desirable.
