The Technicial Officials Operations Officer provides essential administrative and operational support to the Technical Officials Development team, affiliated associations, and league officials. Key responsibilities include managing licensing, compliance, qualifications, finances within the Technical Officials System (Refbook), and supporting national curriculum delivery. The role also assists Tier 2 associations across Victoria and provides on-site support for selected events.
About Us
Basketball Victoria (BV) is the peak body for the sport of Basketball in Victoria. The broad objectives of BV are to provide for the advancement, encouragement, conduct, promotion and administration of Basketball in Victoria. We are a member driven governing body, providing a range of services, leagues and competitions for over 140 affiliated associations.
In addition to supporting our affiliated Basketball associations, BV delivers a number of participation programs making basketball Everybody’s Game, as well as player, coach and technical official development programs to encourage the development of socially desirable attitudes and values towards physical fitness, skill acquisition and performance pathways.

Key responsibilities for the role:
System Management - Maintain and optimise system management, Technical Officials Registration System and Referee Course education system.
Association Support - Act as the primary contact for affiliated and Tier 2 associations, providing onboarding, training, and ongoing administrative support.
Curriculum Coordination - Administer the National Technical Officials Curriculum, liaising with Basketball Australia, managing course access, and recording results.
Event Support - Assist with key BV events and referee coach courses, including compliance checks, child safety training, and on-site support.
General Administration - Contribute to best practice guidelines, maintain calendars, and foster positive stakeholder relationships
