About the Role
Are you passionate about aquatic safety, customer service, and leading by example? Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Leisure Centre Attendant to join our team at the Bomaderry Aquatic Centre. This is a dynamic and rewarding role in a modern facility serving the local community. As a Senior Leisure Centre Attendant, you will:
- Provide high-level customer service and public relations to pool users and contractors.
- Supervise and mentor lifeguards, kiosk staff, and learn-to-swim instructors.
- Maintain water quality and ensure safe operation of pool equipment and chemicals.
- Assist with kiosk operations including cash handling and banking.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and security across the centre.
- Act as a role model for staff and contribute to a positive team culture.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Relevant Aquatic qualifications such as:
- Certificate III Aquatics Operations
- Current Pool Lifeguard Award
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Current Working with Children Check
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
We're seeking a proactive team member with experience in lifeguarding, hospitality or fitness, strong customer service and communication skills, and a solid understanding of aquatic industry standards. You'll be confident using point-of-sale systems and Microsoft applications, and flexible to work a roster that includes weekends.
This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check. Applicants are required to apply and pay for this check if not already obtained.
Applicants who progress to pre-employment checks may be required to undergo a Working with Children Check Verification, National Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Work Rights Verification, Reference Checks and Medical (Low Risk, Medium Risk, High Risk). Employment is subject to satisfactory outcomes for all required checks.
