Description

The VVL Manager’s primary role will be to deliver the full league planning and operations for league and build on a strategy to expand and restructure the league beyond 2026. The Victorlan Volleyball League season typically runs from March - August with matches on Friday nights and Saturdays.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Victorian Volleyball League

  • Manage all aspects of Victorian Volleyball League Competition, including booking venues, team entries, fixtures, referee rosters and payment, results management, delegate meetings.
  • Coordinate the production of and distribute communications and marketing materials (digital) to promote VVL competition including: weekly recaps, video shorts, photos, Team of the Week, etc
  • Develop and promote approx. 3 Feature Rounds per season promoting corporate social responsibility, including seeking sponsorships and special interest groups to attend
  • Manage the content of the VVL competition website through RevSport competitions management system, including verifying results, updating information and by-laws and creating relevant visual content to promote the league.
  • Act as Stadium/Event Supervisor at the State Volleyball Centre on Saturdays during State League Rounds to ensure matches run on schedule and address any issues that may arise from the competition.
  • Identify, assess, and propose initiatives to enhance and improve VVL
  • Conduct VVL Delegates group meetings to ensure sustainable and successful Clubs/teams supported by VVL structure and growth initiatives
  • Liaise with other VV departments to source new venues, new clubs and league expansion initiatives (i.e coaches, referees, feeder events)
  • Coordinate bookings for referees and court supervisors for each week

VVL Awards Dinner

  • Lead the coordination of the VVL Awards Dinner and presentation night including venue hire, catering, invitations, support staff, awards/trophies

Youth, Junior and Regional Leagues

  • Consolidate and grow Youth State League in conjunction with organisation growth strategy

Other Event Support

Provide support where needed for Schools Cups, Australian Volleyball Super League, Country Championships and other VV administered events as needed throughout the year.
