Description

Join us at a pivotal moment in our evolution.

We’re looking for an energetic and creative Digital Content Specialist to elevate our digital presence, strengthen how our community engages with the sport, and help modernise our communication channels during a major period of growth and transformation.

This is a hands-on role for a digital-savvy communicator who lives and breathes social media, understands online audiences, and enjoys producing engaging multimedia content. You’ll manage NSWTA’s digital channels, deliver clear and timely information, support our major events, and bring the NSW Touch story to life with authenticity and impact.

What you’ll do

  • Produce NSWTA’s digital channels, including social media, website, and email – content creation, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and analytics.
  • Create high-quality multimedia content (video, graphics, photography, copywriting, live event coverage).
  • Coordinate communication schedules and deliver accurate, timely updates for major events.
  • Plan and execute digital campaigns that support both event communications and year-round engagement.
  • Maintain and strengthen NSWTA’s brand identity across all platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and align with Touch Football Australia’s Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure national consistency.
  • Track, analyse, and report on digital performance, using data to optimise content and engagement.
  • Capture and deliver real-time content at events, working alongside staff, coaches, referees, athletes, and volunteers.

What we’re looking for

  • A creative, organised, and hands-on digital communicator with strong content production skills.
  • Someone who understands social media trends, audience behaviour, and what drives meaningful engagement.
  • Experience managing multiple digital channels and delivering structured communication plans or campaigns.
  • Excellent writing ability, visual creativity, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong process management skills, including the ability to maintain communication schedules and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with confidence working independently and across teams.
  • Experience in sport is helpful but not essential - what matters most is your ability to tell the NSW Touch story with authenticity, clarity, and creativity.

Why join NSWTA?

  • Be part of a growing and ambitious organisation undergoing strategic transformation.
  • Work on some of the largest and most exciting community sporting events in Australia.
  • Play a key role in modernising NSWTA’s digital ecosystem and brand presence.
  • Benefit from collaboration across the whole-of-sport shared-services model, including access to TFA digital, marketing, design, and commercial specialists.

Role details

  • Full-time position based at the NSWTA Office in Tempe, NSW.
  • NSWTA’s office is in Tempe, and Touch Football Australia is based at NRL Central in Moore Park - regular attendance at both locations is expected, with flexibility considered.
  • Hybrid work arrangements available (office + remote).
  • After-hours and weekend work will be required to support events and competitions.
  • Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in Australia.
  • Base salary: $60,000-$70,000 per annum + superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
