Somerville House Rowing has been a huge part of the schools history since the first BSRA regatta in 1990, with a long reputation of outstanding results and the significant continuous growth of the program we are now seeking to appoint a Head Coach - Rowing from the 2026 season!
Operating out of the Somerville House Water Sports Facility in Yeronga, “The Shed” this role will see you working closely our team of passionate, devoted and skilled rowers and coaches.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and passion to our rowing program.
- Hold a Level 2 Rowing Australia Coach Accreditation (or international equivalent).
- Valid Working with Children Check (for Queensland).
- 3-5 years rowing coaching experience (highly desirable).
- Build confidence, resilience and skill for rowers in the program.
- Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
