Description

Perth College is seeking an experienced and talented Strength and Conditioning Coach to embrace the role of Athletic Performance Manager, overseeing the student athletes selected in the School’s Athlete Development Program. This will include designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs and liaising with stakeholders to ensure our student athletes are performing to the best of their abilities.

This is full-time fixed term position for 2026.

This position will require the flexibility to work the hours necessary to deliver the Athlete Development Program, the Perth College Swim Academy and elements of the Sports Development and Performance Program, which could include before-school, after-school, and occasional weekend activities.

Key deliverables include:

  • Design and implement evidence-based high-performance strength and conditioning programs customised for female student-athletes in the Athlete Development Program.
  • Assume responsibility for all administrative, operational, and communication duties associated with the Athlete Development Program.
  • Assist in the delivery of female focussed long term athletic development programs for students not selected in the Athlete Development Program.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sport Development and Performance to strategically develop and co-ordinate the Perth College Swim Academy, staff, and Learn to Swim teachers and Swim Squad coaches.
  • Cultivate strong collaboration among Health and Physical Education (H&PE) staff, IGSSA coaches, and other School staff to provide comprehensive support for student-athletes and targeted sports programs.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Science or Human Movement (or equivalent).
  • ASCA Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Coach Accreditation.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training or willingness to obtain.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
