We’re seeking a driven and relationship-focused Commercial Sales Executive. This is a unique opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, elite sporting environment and help shape the corporate experience at one of Australia’s most exciting sports clubs.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role is central to our corporate strategy and game-day excellence. You’ll lead premium hospitality and business network sales, driving commercial growth and delivering elite client experiences for South East Melbourne Phoenix.
Key responsibilities include:
- Selling corporate boxes and premium hospitality packages at the Phoenix Nest and Courtside Club.
- Managing a large inventory of corporate seating, including full packages, seat-only options, and game-day functions.
- Developing and executing strategies to attract new corporate clients and renew existing partnerships.
- Overseeing and growing the PNX Network, our premium B2B corporate platform:
- Managing 4–6 networking events annually.
- Driving membership sales and facilitating meaningful business connections.
- Collaborating with Partnerships and Marketing to deliver best-in-class experiences and ensure strong client retention.
- Maintaining accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM records.
- Managing corporate ticketing on game days.
- Representing the Club professionally at events, match days, and within the business community.
This role requires availability on weekends and evenings throughout the NBL Home and Away Season.

- You'll have a proven track record in B2B sales, corporate hospitality, or premium event sales.
- A natural connector who thrives on building relationships with senior executives and business leaders.
- A strategic thinker who can identify new opportunities, close deals, and retain clients through exceptional service.
- A confident presenter and communicator who can represent the Phoenix brand professionally at events and match days.
- Someone who’s passionate about sport and entertainment and understands the value of live experiences in building business relationships.
