As a part of a strategic review NSWTA, the governing body for touch football in New South Wales, is seeking to fill a number of junior positions within the team. The roles are to commence on or around 27 January 2026.
Each of the successful candidates will hit the ground running in a provided and maintained company vehicle.
NSWTA supports diversity within the team and encourages applicants of all backgrounds to apply.
NSWTA supports the growth and development of the game across the length and breadth of the state and encourages applications from candidates who are regionally based as well as those based in Sydney.
It is a requirement of the role that the candidate undertakes regular and frequent travel (within NSW) to service and deliver the range of programs and services to grow the game.
To be successful in one of these roles, you will be a confident communicator and be comfortable both in front of groups "on the field" and "off the field" with administration. You will be organised, yet also flexible and agile to think on your feet with the many curve balls you will face. You will be a self-starter and able to operate independently when required.
The ideal candidates for these positions may come with a variety of experiences and skills, including but not limited to:
- Delivery of community sport programs;
- Working within the primary and/or secondary school sector in the delivery of sport programs, school clinics, gala days, inclusion programs, or similar;
- Administering or training referees, coaches or volunteers;
- Sport club development including membership acquisition;
- Sport competition/event management, including experience working in events; and
- Skills around communication with diverse groups, organisation and planning, use of communication systems including websites and social media, proficiency in use of MS Office products, budget management, adaptability and administration.
Experience in touch football may be an advantage, yet similar transferrable skills may apply from other sports. Tertiary education in a relevant field such as sport management will be highly regarded but is not essential.
In accordance with the Working with Children (Screening) Act 2004, this position is considered to be child related employment. Your employment is therefore subject to a Working With Children (Assessment Notice) being issued.
While we look for qualifications and experience, we also look for people who share our CARE values:
- Care - We care about our sport and the people within our Touch Football community.
- Accountability - We do what we say we will do, when we say we will do it.
- Respect - We welcome everyone to our sport and value what they bring.
