ANU Sport is an independent incorporated association that delivers sport, fitness, and recreation services and opportunities to the ANU Community. ANU Sport is a UniSport Australia and Elite Athlete Friendly University member institution and the ANU is a member of the Group of eight, Australia’s eight leading universities.
We exist to facilitate connections within the campus community through health, well-being, and sport. We aim to enhance and grow the opportunities for students and the ANU community to engage in sport, fitness, and recreation, promoting well-being and balanced lifestyles. ANU Sport is responsible for the operations and management of the ANU Sport fitness centre and all university sports and recreation facilities. ANU Sport supports over thirty sports and recreation clubs, delivering social and competitive sporting programs.
About the role:
The focus of this role is to support the Sport Team in the delivery of sport and recreational activities for the ANU community. The Sport Administrator is responsible for assisting the Sport Team in the delivery of club activities, including recreational activities and competitive sports, as well as meeting administration, operational, and affiliation requirements under the terms of the affiliation agreement. The two main programmes this role will focus on are club development and administration support and the administrative assistance of the UniSport Nationals programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the Sports Manager (Clubs & Athletes) to facilitate and deliver relevant club development programs.
- Support Affiliated Clubs to utilise the membership management to UniOne, including development of operational guides and administration assistance.
- Assist Sports Manager (Clubs & Athletes) with end of month reporting.
- In consultation with the Sports Manager (Clubs & Athletes), develop and update Club policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Support the planning and operational delivery of the ANU Sport club forums, focus groups, and training/education sessions, including room bookings and set-up, monitoring RSVPs, and note taking.
- Provide administration assistance for teams and individuals travelling to UniSport Australia National Events.
- Support the Events and Promotions Marketing Coordinator in the delivery of the ANU Sport Blues Awards.
- Support the Sport Manager in the planning and operational delivery of all ANU Sport hosted intervarsity events.
- Assist with uniform orders enquiries for UniSport Nationals teams.
- Other duties as directed by ANU Sport Management.
