Tamworth Pirates Rugby Football Club invites applications for the voluntary position of Club Head Coach, commencing ahead of the 2026 season.
The successful candidate will lead the Senior Men’s Program (1st & 2nd Grade), and work collaboratively with the Women’s 10s Coach and Junior Coaching Team to ensure consistent pathways, performance standards, and development across the club.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee coaching of 1st and 2nd Grade Men’s teams.
Establish and manage the senior coaching group, including assistant coaches, managers, and support staff.
Drive consistent playing style and culture across the senior men’s program
Plan and deliver:
Structured pre-season programs.
Weekly Tuesday & Thursday training sessions and Saturday fixtures.
Mid-season and end-of-season reviews to assess performance and growth.
Conduct opposition and match analysis using video tools.
Oversee athlete development, depth charting, and succession planning.
Strengthen partnerships with the Northern Suburbs Rugby Union Club, engaging in shared coaching and player development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential: Smart Rugby accreditation; Community Coaching Certification (Level 2) or equivalent; minimum 3 years’ senior coaching experience.
Desirable: World Rugby Level 2 or 3; advanced performance analysis skills. Must be willing to upskill and participate in ongoing coaching development opportunities.
