About the Role
The BFNL is seeking a motivated and organised BFLW Coordinator to oversee the delivery, coordination, and development of the Ballarat Football League Women’s (BFLW) competitions.
This part-time position (three days per week, full-time during the finals period) is ideal for a dynamic and community-minded individual with sports administration experience and a passion for growing women’s sport. Some weekend work will be required.
The role will focus on the effective management of women’s football operations, including competition administration, fixturing, finals, compliance, and representative programs. You’ll work closely with the General Manager, Operations Manager, and League staff to ensure the continued success and professionalism of the BFLW competitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the BFLW competitions and support participating clubs.
- Coordinate registration and clearances through PlayHQ in line with AFL Victoria and League policies.
- Develop fixtures, oversee match-day logistics, and plan finals series operations.
- Support representative and development programs, including trials, selections, and logistics.
- Manage tribunal and investigation processes where required.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and growth of women’s football in the region.
- Liaise with clubs, sponsors, AFL Victoria, and community partners.
- Promote BFLW programs through League media channels and partnerships.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in community or women’s football operations or sports administration.
- Highly organised with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Professional, collaborative, and passionate about community sport.
Experience using PlayHQ or equivalent sports administration systems is desirable, as is knowledge of AFL Victoria structures and policies.
