Australian Athletics (AA) is the governing body for Athletics in this country. It is a National Sporting Organisation whose major partner is the Australian Sports Commission. AA is responsible for athletics, including high performance, participation, coaching, officiating, juniors, para-athletics, domestic and international competition. Australian Athletics has a critical role in leading, fostering and encouraging participation in athletics in Australia and promoting excellence in performance.
As we head towards the 2028 LA Games & 2032 Brisbane Games, it is an exciting time to join our Team! We are currently seeking to recruit a High Performance Administrator (Fixed Term – 2 Year Contract).
About the Role:
The High Performance Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the High Performance Operations team and the High Performance General Manager, helping to keep our high performance programs running smoothly.

Your core duties will include:
- Coordinate the High Performance staff travel and accommodation requirements.
- Review and refine templates, processes, policies, and agreements, ensuring operational efficiency and consistency.
- Support the General Manager of High Performance with administrative duties.
- Support the High Performance Operations team with administrative duties.
What we are looking for:
With prior experience working in administration, you have strong attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You are comfortable with liaising with several internal and external stakeholders and thrive on providing support to others whilst working at times with minimal supervision. You work well under pressure and can meet deadlines to achieve outcomes for the team.
Ideally you will have:
- Tertiary education in sports management, or related fields.
- Experience in providing basic administrative support.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) skills.
- A keen commitment to clean sport and abiding by AA's National Integrity Framework suite of policies including the Australian National Anti-doping Policy, Safeguarding Children and Young Persons Policy, and Code of Conduct.
- Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check and (or ability to hold) Police Check.
- Strong understanding of the structure and dynamics of Australian sport, including the interrelationships at local, state, and national levels (Preferred, but not essential).
