  • $36ph + 25% casual loading + 12% superannuation (Duty Supervisor rate)

About the role

The Duty Supervisor / Guest Experience Officer  Multi-skilled role sits within the Libraries, Recreation and Waterway Branch  and offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional customer experiences at the historic Melbourne City Baths.

This role plays a key part in delivering impactful outcomes for our community and supporting the strategic goals of the City of Melbourne.

About you

You’re calm under pressure, approachable, and love working with people. You bring strong leadership skills, great communication, and a commitment to creating positive experiences for every guest.

You may also be:

  • Confident leading teams and supporting staff on shift

  • Flexible and happy to work across both supervisory and customer-facing duties as needed

  • Comfortable working a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings and weekends

  • Passionate about recreation, wellbeing and community connection

What your experience might look like Key Selection Crieria 

  • Demonstrated experience in facility or operations supervision, ideally within aquatic or recreation environments

  • Proven ability to handle customer service challenges and resolve issues calmly and effectively

  • Experience coordinating and supporting staff on shift

  • Knowledge of emergency and safety procedures 

  • Ability to learn and use facility management systems (experience with PerfectGym or MyWellness is highly regarded)

Mandatory requirements (or willingness to obtain prior to appointment):

• First Aid (HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011)

• Pool Lifeguard (including CPR HLTAID009) – SISCAQU019, SISCAQU02, SISCAQU021, SISCAQU022

• Working with Children Check (Victoria)

• Aquatic Technical Operator
