We are seeking an Event Coordinator on a 12 month Fixed Term contract working in a hybrid model, based out of our Brisbane office. In this role you will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of our national events including our various Championship Events and our Awards Night. The ideal candidate will have experience in major sporting event delivery with a solid understanding of accreditation, travel and logistics supported by a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. 

About the role:

Reporting to the Event Experience Manager, the principal duties of this role include:

  • Manage Volunteer program for each event including recruitment and oversight on pool deck
  • Build all the programs and documentation for the Venue, Staff and Stakeholders for each event, including venue overlay and venue booking information
  • Update and manage the Project Plan for each event
  • Manage accreditation process and event logistics (accommodation, flights, parking etc.)
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with the High Performance team to achieve organisational goals, targets and objectives
  • Support and coordinate necessary communication both internally and externally with event partners and suppliers

About you:

What you will bring to the role:

  • Entry level event experience in the events industry. Experience in sporting industry desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive documentation with appropriate discretion
  • Proven ability to remain calm and work under pressure, prioritise and manage resources to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written), negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience and skilled in developing strong relationships; influencing and motivating staff and key stakeholders
  • Able to create a safe, supportive environment that fosters ongoing mutual respect and trust
  • Strong desire to learn and grow, challenging ways of working for best outcomes

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
