Wests Tigers has proudly competed as a professional rugby league team in the NRL since the 2000 season, celebrating our first premiership in 2005. In 2023, we expanded our presence by competing in the Telstra Women’s Premiership, further strengthening our commitment to the growth of the sport. Formed as a joint venture between the Balmain Tigers and Wests Magpies in 1999, we have grown into a strong and inclusive organization, dedicated to developing future generations of talent.
Our headquarters, featuring a state-of-the-art training facility and administration offices, are based at the Zurich Centre at Concord Oval. In 2024, we strengthened our commitment to our community by opening a new office in Campbelltown, cementing our identity in the Southwest region and enhancing our ability to serve the area.

The Wests Tigers are seeking a Harvey Norman Coach for the 2026 season. This role works alongside the NRLW Head Coach & the clubs Women's recruitment manager to build a playing squad to support the NRLW program and aligned to the clubs vision.
Commitment (Offseason)
- 2 optional training sessions per week aligned with NRLW
- Optional sessions start Mid-January
Commitment (Preseason)
- 3 x training sessions per week aligned to NRLW
- Pre-season start first week of April
- Season launch attendance; Wests Tigers Cultural Night attendance
- Trial Matches
Commitment (Inseason)
- Up to 3 x training sessions per week (one of these sessions would be caps run aligned with NRLW schedule)
- Game day
Commitment (Season Finish - September/October)
- Presentation attendance
- Player screen outs meetings (coach feedback)
Overall Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of the HN Coach is to adequately prepare players to play in the NRLW.
- Work alongside the NRLW Head Coach & the clubs Women's recruitment manager to build a playing squad to support the NRLW program and aligned to the clubs vision.
- Play a leading role in the planning and delivery of the technical and tactical components (aligned with the NRLW program & NRLW Head Coach - Session plans, Monthly Calendar etc.).
- Monitor and evaluate individual player and overall team performance.
- Work with the NRLW Head Coach, Women's Wellbeing Manager, Head Of Women's Football and other team staff to ensure that all players are supported and developed in achieving player targets.
- Ensure that there are robust and effective methods of positive communication between all players and staff.
Specific Duties
- Set up assigned drills/stations prior to training start time.
- Deliver tactical and technical sessions and components of sessions
- Provide a copy of the training plan to relevant team staff prior to training.
- Assist with the setting out and packing up of equipment at each session.
- Lead the pre-game preview and post-game review.
- Lead the selection of squad members and the playing squad for each fixture (NRLW Head Coach reserves the right to make the final selection decision).
- Provide meaningful feedback to individual players in the squad.
- Manage all staff involved within the HNWP with clear communication & planning.
Qualifications/Experience
- Hold a current at minimum a YDC (Youth Development Coach) accreditation
- Hold a current Working With Children's Check (WWCC)
- Possess the ability to deliver and implement technical and tactical plans of a high standard to ensure effective preparation and participation in an elite competition.
- Have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others.
- Experience with Hudl and editing game vision for educating players
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work in a team and multi-skill environment.
