About the role
SACA is looking for an experienced Physical Performance Coach to join our Women’s Program. You will play a key role in the strategic delivery of the SACA Women’s Pathway program’s physical performance. This role will involve developing academy and youth age group athletes for potential contract opportunities, and preparation for age group National Championships. This role will be supported by the Physical Performance Lead - Women’s Program, aligning strategies of physical performance with the SACA Women’s Program physical performance framework.
Please be aware that this is a fixed-term contract until June 30 2027, offering up to 30 hours per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning and delivery of the physical preparation of the Women’s Pathways program
- Deliver and attend Women’s Pathways training sessions, meetings and game day responsibilities
- Manage bowling and player workloads through the Athlete Monitoring System (AMS), coordinating athlete management across SACA programs and advice to external programs
- Program alignment with the Physical Performance Lead - Women’s Program, and strategic delivery of the SACA Women’s Program Physical Performance Framework
- Deliver the physical preparation requirements set out by Cricket Australia through the SSSM Principles for players of national interest from South Australia
- You will hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain one.
Would also be great if you have…
- Post Graduate degree in Sports Science / strength & conditioning / human movement
- Minimum of 2 years working in elite sport
- Australian Strength & Conditioning Association Associate Level 2 accreditation
- Experience and success in delivering a physical performance program
- Ability to communicate effectively with players, coaches & staff
- Ability to align player development to the holistic long-term strategy of the SACA and CA
- Experience with data driven programs (VALD and Catapult desired) and processes to aid player management and development
