We are searching for an exceptional Aquatics Manager to take the helm of our aquatic operations and lead a dedicated team with passion, strategy, and care.
About the role:
As the Aquatics Manager, you will oversee the strategic and day-to-day operations of our aquatic facilities and programs, including our thriving Swim School and two 25-metre pools. You will lead a diverse team of lifeguards, swim instructors, and operational staff, ensuring every visit is safe, professional, and unforgettable.
This role is ideal for a business-minded leader who understands how to balance community impact with commercial success.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership and direction across all aquatic programs and operations
- Driving a culture of safety, performance and service excellence
- Mentoring and leading your team, from recruitment and onboarding to training and development
- Managing facility operations including staffing, water quality, scheduling, and maintenance
- Building strong community relationships to enhance engagement and participation
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, risk management, and legal requirements
- Managing and monitoring budgets, revenue, and expenditure, with a focus on profitability and program growth
- Creating and fostering a positive workplace culture where staff feel valued, supported, and motivated

Experience & Skills
- Proven experience managing aquatic facilities and swim school programs.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, including recruitment, training and performance management.
- Strong background in WHS compliance, aquatic safety standards and risk management.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive revenue and manage budgets.
- A customer-focused mindset and experience engaging diverse community groups.
- Confidence and presence to act as the face of our aquatic centre, engaging with staff, customers, and the wider community.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management.
