Description

Playing a crucial role in the Club's commercial growth, the Partnerships Manager is instrumental in ensuring best practice partnership delivery and client outcomes. Additionally, the incumbent must actively identify and nurture new revenue streams within existing portfolios, seizing opportunities as they arise.

Continuous client engagement is a key aspect of the position, aiming to ensure the implementation of best-in-class practices that lead to exceptional results. The role demands unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards and a proactive stance, setting a benchmark for performance within the industry.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in a fast-paced, client-facing role, preferably in either a rights holder or agency environment. This hands-on position is part of a small, agile team within a growth-focused business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Rights Strategy & Management

  • Cultivate and oversee key relationships with designated commercial partners, ensuring optimal commercial results
  • Develop and execute collaborative activation plans for allocated partners
  • Formulate, integrate, and implement corporate marketing strategies for assigned partners
  • Conduct structured monthly reviews for major partners and administer mid-season and post-season evaluations for tier two and three partners
  • Guarantee successful delivery of agreed benefits and achievement of return-on-investment expectations through resource orchestration and stakeholder engagement
  • Plan and execute game day deliverables to ensure maximum returns as required
  • Secure renewals of existing partnerships through collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Maintain a minimum monthly frequency of face-to-face meetings with assigned partners
  • Drive club revenue growth by upselling current partners on various corporate products, including Match Day Hospitality, Events, Signage, and Merchandise
  • Proactively network during club hospitality and business events to identify potential prospects
  • Deliver KPI results in line with annual budgets set by the GM of Operations
  • Onboard new partners including development of implementation plan, internal and club briefing, PR and media announcements, setting up tracking, and taking the new client on a seamless transition.
  • Manage the match day in stadia signage program to a high standard, ensuring optimal commercial results.

  • Passion for and knowledge of football is desirable not necessary

Hard / Technical skills

  • Degree in Commerce, Marketing, or similar field - preferred but not essential
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in relevant partnership focused role(s)
  • Experience in building and executing client solutions for high value partnerships
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft suite, Adobe suite, Canva, and Google Workspace
  • Ability to build bespoke presentations

Renumeration

Commission is available for set targets in addition to the annual renumeration package.
