About the Position

As the Administration Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of the not-for-profit Association. This role requires strong business acumen, leadership, and the ability to manage financial controls, grant systems, football and marketing platforms.

You will be responsible for overseeing local administration, policies, and procedures, stakeholder relations, finance and grants, governance and compliance, and events and marketing across the Territory.

  • Based in Darwin, Northern Territory.

About You

To be successful, you will require:

  • Completion of a Diploma in Sports Administration or Business or a related area with two years subsequent experience, or education, training and/or relevant experience and/or a combination of recent relevant work experience in office administration management, particularly executive support.
  • Proven effective administration skills at executive level, with the ability to prioritise workloads, to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Proven initiative and organisational skills of a high order, together with the ability to work independently and flexibly to complete tasks within required timeframes and engage in effective teamwork.
  • Proven high level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to utilise a range of computer programs to produce budgets, reports, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Proven initiative and organisational skills of a high order, together with the ability to work under pressure, independently and flexibly to complete tasks within required timeframes.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with staff, the President and Board, Councils and Committees, the Football Community, as well as Federal, State, and Local Government; Football Australia; and the Australian Institute of Sport.
  • Experience with social media, APPs, website and marketing principles and activities.

This position is governed by the National Employment Standards (NES), which establish the minimum employment conditions in Australia, including leave entitlements, work hours, and termination provisions. Additionally, your employment will be subject to the Sporting Organisations Award 2020, which specifies pay classifications, overtime, penalty rates, and other industry-specific conditions pertinent to sporting bodies.
