THE POSITION:
The Fairfield City Swim Academy is seeking self-motivated and proactive individuals to join its innovative team as aLearn to Swim Instructor.
Learn to Swim Instructors are required to work across Prairiewood, Fairfield and Cabravale Leisure Centres.
The position provides the opportunity to work within all aspects of the swim academy with the flexibility of teaching varying levels of swimming abilities and programs including Learn to swim, schools and squads, liaise with customers/participants within all Swim Academy programs.
You will be required to display and maintain a high standard of professional application towards the position.
ESSENTIAL:
- Minimum Current Teacher of Water Safety certificate from one of the following organisations Austswim, Royal Life Saving, Swim Australia
- Minimum Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate.
- Minimum Current Working with Children Check.
- When applying for the position it is necessary to describe the level of knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience required for the position.
DESIRABLE:
- Class C Drivers Licence;
- First Aid Certificate
- Extension certificates from one of the following organisations Austswim, Royal Life Saving, Swim Australia (eg. Infants aquatics, Access and Inclusion/ All abilities, Competitive Strokes)
- Experience in similar Aquatic or Leisure centre environment.
- Describe additional knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience that would be beneficial to the position.
SALARY/ EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Casual position up to 38hrs per week
- Casual hourly payrate is grade 1 entry level including 25% casual loading $37.58 per hour, plus 12% superannuation contributions.
- Plus 25% Saturday and 50% Sunday weekend penalty rates apply
- Uniform provided
- Hours of Work: between 7am to 10pm Monday to Sunday. However, commencing and finishing times will be flexible and will depend on operational needs.
