About the role
Netball Victoria is on the look-out for a highly skilled and passionate Integrity & Compliance Manager to lead our governance, integrity, compliance, and child safety functions. Reporting to the General Manager - Stakeholder Relations & Member Services, this newly created role plays a critical part in ensuring Netball Victoria operates to the highest standards of accountability, transparency and ethical behaviour.
You will bring a strategic mindset, excellent judgement, and the interpersonal skills needed to navigate complex issues across governance, compliance, integrity and child safety. Working with a variety of stakeholders at various levels and championing safe, inclusive and positive experience for all netball participants will drive you.
Leading and supporting a small team you will need to demonstrate resilience, adaptability and your integrity, governance and compliance know how across your broad portfolio in this pivotal position.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Leading the development and implementation of governance, integrity and compliance frameworks.
- Leading and guiding the Netball Victoria (NV) Child Safety Working Group to ensure best practice delivery in line with the Child Safe Standards, risk assessments and NV’s Child Safe Action Plan.
- Championing child safety across NV and the wider netball community.
- Supporting Affiliates, Clubs and Associations with tools, training and education to meet their child safety and compliance obligations.
- Overseeing the management, investigation and resolution of integrity matters, incidents and allegations ensuring appropriate escalations and resolution in line with policy, legislation and law.
- Providing trusted advice and reporting to the Executive and Board on governance and compliance.
- Overseeing policy development, review cycles and compliance monitoring to ensure frameworks remain current and effective
- Building strong relationships with regulators, Sport Integrity Australia, Netball Australia and other key stakeholders.
- Maintaining confidential and secure systems and processes for reporting and managing integrity complaints and concerns
- Provide expert guidance and advice across the organisation, including with direct reports, on programs, resources, and initiatives, demonstrating strong commitment to organisational values.
What you will bring:
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sport Management, Law, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role with responsibility for compliance, governance, integrity or customer-focused service functions.
- Proven people management experience (3+ years) with the ability to motivate and guide others.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks, integrity programs or child safety strategies.
- Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to integrity, governance, compliance and child safety (e.g. Child Safe Standards, integrity codes).
- Proven ability to deliver training and education programs on compliance, ethics or safeguarding.
Desirable
- Experience within the sport or not-for-profit sector, ideally in a member-based organisation.
- Experience in building capability across diverse stakeholder groups (e.g. staff, volunteers, affiliates).
- Deep undertanding of, and commitment to, child safety and safeguarding frameworks.
