The Community Partnerships Coordinator is a dynamic role where you will positively promote benefits of partnering with exciting events, programs, teams and/or competitions happening within the SBA. This role will lead initiatives to create and maintain community connection and engagement, leading our Association into the future.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with all SBA commercial partners and key community stakeholders.
Develop, execute and maintain sponsorship and advertising proposals and agreements with current and new SBA commercial and community partners.
Ensure the delivery of the SBA’s commercial contractual commitments.
Plan, coordinate and execute a diverse range of scheduled SBA gazetted events, new and existing, from small community gatherings to larger fundraising events, ensuring all events are delivered within budget and meet expected standards. As a minimum these events are at present;
The Jets BigV Preseason Singlet Presentation (March)
Themed Rounds of the BigV fixture; Pink Round, Indigenous Round (May/June)
SBA Life Members and Community Partnership Evening (June)
The Jets BigV Awards night (September)
The VJBL Presentation Day (September)
The SBA Hall of Fame Awards Night (February)
Submit new proposals for implementation into the SBA Calendar of Events, inclusive of budget requirements and forecasts, for Business Manager/Board approval, such as possible Golf Days, Business Breakfasts etc..
Assist in the development and scheduling of social media content across various SBA platforms; including maintaining and updating the website with relevant news/updates on SBA events and sponsorship.
Promote SBA partners within the SBA community, especially promoting special offers from our sponsors and community partners.
Liaising with SBA staff to ensure alignment on expectations and outcomes of SBA sponsorship and events with the approved SBA Strategic Plan (2026-2030).
Undertaking administrative tasks as required to ensure efficient and compliance record keeping.
Providing end-of-month reports to the SBA Business Manager advising of key outcomes and challenges.
All other duties as required and/or directed by the SBA Business Manager that would be expected in the completion of this position description.
Permanent Part time position - 20 Hours per week at $35 per hour, plus superannuation (paid weekly). Days and hours of engagement are to be agreed to in consultation with the SBA Business Manager.
