This part time vacancy is available for 0.5 (18 hrs and 30 mins) per week.

As the Sport Engagement Officer - Alice Springs Master Games, you will oversee all elements of sport competition and operations, contribute to marketing efforts, support recognition initiatives and ensure competitions run smoothly, safely, and to a high standard. 

You’ll also provide assistance with day-to-day office operations and provide frontline event support and maintain strong communication with stakeholders and the Games workforce.

Alice Springs Masters Games

The Alice Springs Masters Games is Australia’s longest-running Masters sporting event, proudly returning in October 2026. Known as The Friendly Games, it brings together thousands of participants aged 30 and over to compete across a wide variety of sports in the heart of Central Australia. Set against the stunning backdrop of the MacDonnell Ranges, the Games offer a unique blend of competition, camaraderie, and community spirit. With a rich history and a vibrant atmosphere, the event is a true celebration of active lifestyles, regional pride, and the enduring power of sport to connect people from all walks of life.

About you

To be successful you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated event, venue, sports or project management skills across diverse portfolios with sound knowledge of local area marketing.
  • Ability to work within a team whilst managing individual workload with proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with experience working with the public. 
  • High-level administration skills and ability to adapt to new software programs.
  • Current valid NT drivers’ licence, and first aid certificate or ability to obtain.
