The Premium Membership Sales Officer - Club XIII will be responsible for maximising the revenue and profit from the Clubs reserved seat and premium bay products while providing an excellent quality of service that exceeds members’ expectations. The role will also involve the maximisation of engagement for members holding a reserved seat or premium bay membership as well as actively promoting match day attendance and seat returns where applicable.
The Premium Membership Sales Officer - Club XIII will also be responsible for ensuring the very best service is delivered by them and the wider Membership Sales team to create memorable customer experiences whilst building the strongest possible emotional connection with our members. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the communications to our reserved seat and premium bay members including sales, upgrades, waiting list, attendance, and nurture-related Campaigns.
The Premium Membership Sales Officer - Club XIII will account manage our premium Club XIII membership category, along with overseeing our Grand Final guarantee, reserved seat and Maurice Rioli Club categories and ensure the smooth operation of their events on a match day in conjunction with our Events team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Account Management & Match Day Execution - Act as the primary point of contact for Club XIII members, delivering timely and professional service, coordinating communications and match day functions, ensuring all package inclusions are fulfilled, and seeking opportunities to provide exceptional experiences. Support the operation of the Maurice Rioli Club function on MCG game days and represent the Club by providing customer service and operational support.
- Reserved & Premium Membership Sales - Drive growth of reserved seating and premium bay memberships by generating sales leads, developing sales and retention strategies, producing call lists, and following up non-renewals. Maximise revenue opportunities through upselling, consolidation, pricing recommendations, and product development, while achieving payment plan targets. Coach Membership Sales & Service Officers and identify leads for the Corporate Sales team.
- Attendance Growth - Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to increase reserved seat member attendance, including tailored offers, data-driven interventions, and seat return programs. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes, timelines, and education around seat returns, ensuring optimal utilisation of member seating.
- Team & Customer Support - Contribute to a high-performance service culture by supporting staff induction, coaching on sales techniques, and acting as an escalation point for customer complaints. Provide assistance with general membership enquiries during peak periods and foster strong emotional connections with members through exceptional service.
- Administration & Compliance - Manage membership processing and renewals through the Club’s CRM, maintain accurate member records, and ensure compliance with privacy requirements. Provide additional support to the Membership Sales Manager, Head of Membership, and across the Consumer Business team as required.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in a sales / marketing /account management related role
- A commitment to customer service and service delivery to clients
- Proven negotiation, interpersonal and relationship management skills
- High level of planning and time management skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage varied and multiple projects with conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines
- Computing skills with specific knowledge of customer relationship database software, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline is desirable but not essential
