The role spans stakeholder engagement, facility planning, data and reporting, and administrative support. You’ll also contribute to government and funding processes that help deliver better courts and more opportunities for communities to play.

You will need to be organised and agile, with an ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.  A proven ability for clear communication and an ability to collaboratively work with a variety of stakeholders at various levels to achieve outcomes will be key to success in this role. Strong experience in utilising data platforms is needed.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with the identification and prioritisation of development opportunities that support expansion of community access and participation.
  • Planning and supporting stakeholder and council forums regarding netball infrastructure.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with government departments and agencies to maximise opportunities for growth and collaboration.
  • Supporting relationships and partnerships with other sports such as AFL Victoria, Basketball Victoria, Tennis Victoria and Regional Sports Assemblies.
  • Being an advocate for the improvement of standards to create better netball courts for future generations.
  • Keeping facilities resources, council profiles and fact sheets accurate and up to date.
  • Updating and maintaining systems and databases to ensure information is current and relevant.
  • Providing administration support to the Facilities & Infrastructure Manager.
  • Undertake other duties as required by the role and Netball Victoria.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the areas of facility management, infrastructure planning or suitable experience in a related field of employment.
  • Proven ability to build strong, productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including LGAs and government agencies.
  • Experience with funding application processes and compliance obligations.
  • Strong data management skills, with the ability to collate, analyse, and present reports.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to deliver partner-aligned recommendations
  • A passion for sport and its power from grassroots through to the elite.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in a sporting or community facilities/infrastructure environment will be highly regarded.

What we offer:

  • Flexibility: Hybrid working arrangements and recognition that our work doesn’t always fit a 9-to-5 schedule.
