Expression of Interest - Avoca Beach Rugby Union Club - Club & 1st Grade Head Coach, and all senior grade coaching roles for the 2026 Season
Avoca Beach Rugby Club (ABRC) is openly seeking Expressions of Interest for our Club and 1st Grade Head Coach, as well as all other senior grade rugby coaching appointments for the 2026 season.
In 2025 Avoca Beach Rugby Union Club (ABRC) celebrated our 50th year anniversary as the most successful rugby club on the NSW Central.
ABRC is proud of our past successes and are committed to honouring this legacy by sustainably growing and developing our club for the next 50 years so that it keeps producing the next generations of Sharkies.
With thriving and strong junior and senior programs, we are seeking to appoint an experienced, transformational rugby leader as our Club and 1st Head Grade Coach to take our rugby program to the next level in 2026.
We are also seeking expressions of interest for all other senior grade coaching positions including:
- Women’s Head Coach/es
- 2nd Grade Men’s Head Coach/es
- 3rd Grade Men’s Head Coach/es; and/or
- Assistant Coaches.
The recruitment and selection for all senior grade coaching roles will follow the appointment of our Club and 1st Grade Head Coach.
About the role
The Club Coach and 1st Grade Head Coach leads the coaching vision, technical development, and alignment of the rugby program across all senior grades. This role is pivotal to building a high-performance rugby environment that is unified in its culture, development-oriented in its delivery, and transparent in its decision-making and communication.
What we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced transformational leader and rugby person, that is highly skilled in building teams, who possesses excellent communication skills, and is capable of building and fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and success across our junior and senior programs.
As the Club and 1st Grade Head Coach the key responsibilities include:
- Program design and technical alignment
- Coaching and leadership
- Player development and progression
- Club development and culture
- Governance and communication
