About Baseball Australia
Baseball Australia (BA) is the governing body for all levels of baseball throughout Australia and a recognised member of the World Baseball Softball Confederation and the Australian Sports Commission.
BA is committed to raising the profile of baseball, increasing participation, delivering amazing experiences for the baseball community and achieving international success.
As a not-for-profit member organisation, we co-ordinate and support our state and territory associations; each are a crucial touchpoint in growing baseball and supporting national programs locally.
There are approximately 600 clubs providing baseball to over 33,000 active and registered baseball players in Australia.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager - Growth and Experience and National Tournaments Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Coordination and support related to Baseball’s implementation of its PlayWell participation strategy.
- Technical support, development and implementation of baseball’s technology platforms including GameDay, Canopi, Little League Data Centre, Baseball’s Coaching App and the Information Hub.
- Operational and administrative support of the logistics for National Events
- Coordination of other related travel in addition to procurement of uniforms and equipment as necessary
PlayWell implementation
- Support GM Growth and Experience and state and territory associations to identify geographic areas for growth of Baseball in Australia in line with the PlayWell strategy.
- Provide high quality customer service and knowledge to state and territory associations for Sporting Schools programs, seamlessly guiding their experience to successfully deliver the programs.
- Work with the marketing and communications team to develop regional and local campaigns to support the growth of baseball in Australia.
GameDay Support and Development
- Undertake substantial online and on the job learning and development to become the national technical expert for baseball on GameDay, the sport management platform of baseball in Australia.
- Support GM Growth and Experience, National Tournaments Manager and state and territory associations to set up GameDay forms and products as required.
- Be the key contact point for GameDay staff for baseball in Australia, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Game Development Technology
- Working with GM Growth and Experience, GM Performance Pathways and various stakeholders to drive the development and use of Canopi, Coaching App and any future technology implementation for Baseball in Australia.
- Assist with the Little League Datacentre requirements for Little League International.
National Tournament Support
- Develop consistent and coordinated system to arrange travel for National Events and provide support to team staff.
- Continually refine and improve systems and processes to improve efficiencies that can be applied to other areas of BA that require travel coordination.
- Pre and post event reporting requirements for National Events
- Where required travel to National Events to assist in the onsite delivery and execution.
Relationship Management & Collaboration
- Proactively undertake open and regular communications with all relevant stakeholders and customers involved in Baseball in Australia, including staff, athletes, coaches, teachers, parents , charters, officials and service providers.
- Foster a collaborative team spirit focused on service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders and customers.
- Demonstrates a strong customer-first mindset, actively seeking opportunities to improve service delivery and working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and implement the best possible solutions.

- This role does not have budget management responsibilities but is aware of the budgets their role works within and is focused on achieving financial targets set.

- Work proactively with guidance from the Growth and Experience Manager, National Tournament Manager and CEO.
- Confidently bring new ideas and ways of working to Baseball in Australia, knowing that these will be valued and discussed.

Qualifications and Experience

- Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in sport or business management.

Other Requirements
Working with Children

Citizenship/Visa
You must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia. You are required to notify the organisation if your right to work in Australia ceases.
Police Check
Holds or ability to hold and maintain a satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check prior to appointment.
License
Holds a current driver’s license
